On Monday, the Kurdistan Regional Government announced that they will start using Iraqi dinars instead of US dollars for customs duties.
The Kurdistan Regional Council of Ministers has adopted the Iraqi dinar for customs duties at all border crossings, according to a statement from the Regional Government’s Media and Information Department.
The statement reads, “It is mandatory for all ministries to implement the decision, and legal action will be taken in case of any violation.”
