The Ministry of Electricity provided an explanation for the delay in the payment of members’ and employees’ salaries.
“The ministry is fully aware that the only safe income for the employee is the (monthly salary), and delaying it causes great embarrassment,” the ministry’s spokesman Ahmed Musa stated in a statement received by, indicating that “the delay in disbursing salaries is not due to the ministry’s procedures.”
He added, “The Service of Money has been furnished with all the compensation records that were mentioned from our service late.”
“Coordination is underway with the Ministry of Finance and that funding letters will be secured to release the salaries of our members today, Sunday,” he stated.
