Iraq’s Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced the release of the March social assistance payment, benefiting approximately 2.7 million families in Baghdad and other provinces, excluding the Kurdistan Region.
Ahmed al-Moussawi, head of the Social Protection Authority, said the total value of the disbursement exceeds 444 billion Iraqi dinars. He noted that more than 1.499 million beneficiary households are headed by men, while over 570,000 are headed by women.
The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to supporting vulnerable groups and ensuring assistance reaches those eligible under the social protection program. Beneficiary families have been urged to visit designated payment centers across the country to collect their allocated funds.
