The Parliamentary Finance Committee accuses the government of deliberately delaying the submission of the 2025 budget schedules.

Parliamentary Finance Committee member Mustafa Al-Karawi accused the federal government on Sunday of intentionally delaying the submission of the 2025 price range schedules, pointing to legal and constitutional violations attributable to this put off.

Al-Karawi stated in a announcement to dinaropinions.com, “Article 77/second of the Triennial Federal price range regulation requires the Council of Ministers to send budget tables earlier than the end of the monetary yr, stressing that ignoring this article is a clear violation.”

He added, “The authorities bears duty for the disruption of most monetary and operational activities, as well as the delay in employees’ entitlements to bonuses and promotions, due to the failure to publish schedules on time.”

Al-Karawi mentioned that “the house of Representatives had voted at the 3-12 months budget on the circumstance that the authorities commit to filing the schedules with the aid of the prison cut-off date, noting that the continuation of this delay constitutes a breach of the authorities’s responsibilities towards the legislative authority.”
