The President of the Republic congratulates on Police Day and affirms his full support for strengthening the professionalism of the Ministry of Interior.

President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid said on Friday that the Iraqi police are one of the country’s strongest lines of defense, praising their long history of sacrifice and courage.

In a statement released by the Presidency and received by dinaropinions.com, the president congratulated officers and personnel of the Ministry of Interior on the 104th anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi Police. He described the police as Iraq’s “strong shield and solid fence,” saying they have always stood firm in protecting the nation.

He said this anniversary reflects a long journey filled with bravery and sacrifice, written by Iraqi police officers with their own blood as they faced terrorism and stopped attempts to undermine the country’s security. He added that they are always alert, working day and night to uphold the law and protect stability across all of Iraq.

President Rashid stressed that the government fully supports the Ministry of Interior as it continues to strengthen its capabilities, improve professionalism and discipline, and reinforce the rule of law in a way that meets the hopes of the Iraqi people.

He closed the statement by honoring the fallen police officers and all the martyrs of the nation, praying for Iraq’s safety and wishing the Iraqi police continued strength and success in the years ahead.
