The Ministry of Transport announced today, on Monday, that they have completed the construction of Berth No. 2 in Al-Faw Port. They have also confirmed that the completion rate of the remaining berths has now exceeded 85%. The work is continuing as per the agreed-upon time frame.

The Ministry issued a statement, which was received by 964 Network.

Announcement made in the early hours of the new year for the completion of Pier No. 2, in accordance with the directives of the Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibes Al-Saadawi.

The completion rate for the Five Piers Project exceeded 85%, which is higher than the projected rate.

The work at Grand Faw Port is being carried out as per the contracts and within the stipulated time frame. The project map, including the five berths and other associated projects, is progressing at an accelerated pace without any delays. The progress rates are advanced and in line with the planned timeline.

The Grand Al-Faw Port project includes the construction of five large docks with a total length of 1,750 meters for unloading ships. Additionally, a container yard with a length of 2,000 meters and a width of 600 meters will be established, with an initial capacity of up to two million containers per year. This is one of five projects being undertaken as part of the larger Grand Al-Faw Port project.
