The XRP community is gearing up for a busy week, with two big events bringing fresh attention to the XRP Ledger.

First, all eyes are on Paris Blockchain Week, one of Europe’s biggest crypto gatherings. During the event, the XRP community will host a special night meetup in Paris on April 15. The event is expected to run in the evening and bring together developers, builders, and supporters from across the ecosystem.

Community members say Europe has always played a strong role in XRP Ledger development, and this year is expected to be no different. Many believe the Paris events will once again highlight how active the regional XRP community has become.

At the same time, a major security audit contest is also kicking off.

Starting April 13, Ripple and security platform Sherlock will run a two-week audit challenge focused on upcoming XRP Ledger features. Developers and researchers will be invited to test and review new tools before they go live.

The contest will cover several planned upgrades, including batch transactions, permission controls, decentralized exchange improvements, confidential transfers, sponsored fees, and reserve-related features.

A total prize pool of $550,000 is on the table, which is expected to attract strong participation from security experts and developers.

Ripple says the goal is to strengthen the network by exposing new features to real-world testing and outside review before wider rollout.

This event comes as Ripple continues to push for a more open and security-focused development process for the XRP Ledger, including greater use of external researchers and modern testing methods.

With both the Paris gathering and the audit contest happening at the same time, the XRP community is heading into one of its most active weeks of the year—combining networking, development, and security work all in one stretch.
