He stated that “the Iraqi citizen is a victim of the arbitrary measures of the United States of America,” pointing out that “the Iraqi economy relies heavily on foreign imports to cover the total demand for goods.”
The political rationale, as previously acknowledged by former MP Raed Fahmy, was linked to the US Federal Reserve’s stringent political measures intended to exert pressure on the Iraqi side.
