Hamid Al-Zamili, a member of the Iraqi Parliament, made a call on Saturday for the government to cut off Iraq’s economic ties with Turkey and use the economic card to put pressure on Turkey to stop violating Iraq’s sovereignty.
Al-Zamili told , “There should be an administration reaction that is proportionate to the size of the activities completed by Turkey, demonstrating that the presence of Turkish powers an inside Iraqi area is unlawful.”
“Against the backdrop of Turkey’s continued violations of Iraq’s sovereignty, the government must file a complaint with the United Nations, noting that severing economic relations with Turkey is the appropriate response to the violations,” he added.
