Central Bank Governor discusses with German Ambassador enhancing financial inclusion and digital transformation

As the two parties discussed expanding financial inclusion and digital transformation, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Iraq, Christiane Homann, was received by the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Ali Mohsen Al-Alaq.

“The meeting discussed banking relations and enhancing the financial inclusion plan in Iraq, the importance of digital transformation, as well as providing full support to Al Riyada Bank for financing small projects, which will launch its services soon,” read a statement from the Central Bank’s media.

The governor emphasized, stating, The Central Bank of Iraq has taken numerous steps in this direction in coordination with the relevant authorities because citizens have a strong desire to use electronic cards, which enhances electronic payment in Iraq.

He made sense of, “Riyada Bank will offer its types of assistance to a significant section of clients, as it expects to offer help to arising little and medium endeavors, and it will be a bank not quite the same as different banks through capricious items will add to setting out work open doors for different gatherings in the public eye.”

Al-Alaq mentioned: There will be delegate workplaces in most Iraqi banks to work with clients’ admittance to it and advantage from its administrations.”

With direct support from the Prime Minister, the plan to reform the government and private banking sectors to create a stable, secure, and effective sector was also reviewed.
