This policy explains what information Dinar Opinions (dinaropinions.com, "we", "us") collects when you visit the website, how it is used, and the choices you have. We are an independent news and opinion site. We do not ask visitors to create an account.
1. Information we collect
Information collected automatically. When you visit, our hosting provider and the services described below may receive your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you, the date and time of the visit, and an approximate location (such as country or city) worked out from your IP address. We use this to keep the site running, to understand which content is useful, and to protect the site from abuse.
Information you give us. If you email us at Info@dinaropinions.com or use a contact form, we receive your name, email address and message so we can reply. If comments are open on a post, the name, email address and comment you submit are stored with the comment.
Push notifications. If you choose to allow notifications in your browser, our notification service (OneSignal) stores a subscription token for your browser so we can send you alerts about new posts. We do not know who you are from this token. You can stop notifications at any time in your browser's site settings.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we do not sell your personal information.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. This site and the services below use cookies or similar technologies:
- Google AdSense and Google ad services show advertising on the site. Google and its partners may use cookies and identifiers to show ads, limit how often you see an ad, measure ads and, where permitted, personalize ads.
- Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Site Kit by Google help us measure visits and understand how the site is used.
- Google consent message (Funding Choices) may ask for your consent choices where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom.
- OneSignal delivers push notifications to people who opt in.
- Google Fonts and YouTube may load fonts, thumbnails or embedded videos from Google servers, which can receive your IP address.
- Caching and security tools used by our host and CDN may set technical cookies or log requests.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
3. Advertising
We show ads from Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalized advertising in Google Ad Settings, learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, or opt out of some third-party vendors at aboutads.info/choices. In the EEA and UK, you can change your choices through the consent message when it appears.
4. How we use information
- To operate, secure and improve the website.
- To measure traffic and understand which content readers find useful.
- To show advertising that helps pay for the site.
- To reply to messages you send us.
- To send push notifications to people who opted in.
- To meet legal obligations.
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on our legitimate interest in running and securing the site, on your consent (for example for non-essential cookies and push notifications), and on the need to reply to your enquiries.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with the service providers named in this policy (such as Google, OneSignal and our hosting provider) so that they can provide their services, and with authorities when the law requires it. Those providers have their own privacy policies.
6. How long we keep information
Server logs and analytics data are kept for the period set by our hosting and analytics providers. Emails and comments are kept for as long as needed to deal with your message or to keep the discussion visible, and you can ask us to delete them. Push subscription tokens are kept until you unsubscribe.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. California residents may also have rights to know, delete and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information, but advertising cookies may count as "sharing" under California law, and you can opt out through the links in section 3. To use any of these rights, email Info@dinaropinions.com.
8. International transfers
Our service providers, including Google and OneSignal, may process information in countries outside your own, including the United States. They use safeguards described in their own policies.
9. Third-party links and embedded content
The site links to other websites and to our social accounts on Facebook, X, Pinterest and YouTube, and may embed content such as videos. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please read their policies.
10. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the site and the information we hold, but no website can be completely secure.
