US Firm Proposes Major Healthcare Investment in Baghdad

American worldwide medical services (AGMS) is about to amplify its footprint in Iraq, following a meeting between CEO Dr. Aizen J. Marrogi and prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani on Monday.

The agency has proposed setting up a complete medical city in Baghdad, which could consist of a 200-mattress most cancers clinic, a pharmaceutical production facility, a nursing college, and a education academy. The project, completely funded through AGMS, is expected to create greater than 1,500 local jobs and could deploy over 200 scientific and administrative experts.

top Minister Al-Sudani directed that 60 dunams of land in Al-Rasheed Camp be officially allocated for the venture, reaffirming the government’s commitment to advancing U.S.-Iraq cooperation under the Strategic Framework agreement-particularly in the healthcare area.
