Diyala Council Chairman Omar Al-Karwi confirmed on Tuesday that a session can be held this afternoon to speak about the electricity privatization document in the province.

Al-Karwi said in an interview with dinaropinions.com that “the control of the strength sector is a federal record, and we’re managing it in step with the powers available to the provincial council,” noting that the re-test with strength privatization within the town of Baqubah and awarding a settlement to an funding business enterprise sparked massive controversy in recent days, mainly for the reason that council was not informed of its details.

He delivered that “Diyala’s preceding stories with power privatization had been negative and contained many observations, so the session could be critical to perceive the factors and parameters that serve the hobby of the citizen, and to provide the final opinion of the provincial council to the Ministry of strength.”

He mentioned that “the Ministry of power these days concluded an settlement with one of the groups to denationalise the electricity region in Baqubah, in line with a mechanism that has not but been introduced.”
