The Supreme Judicial Council announced new statistics on Wednesday regarding the implementation of the amended Amnesty Law No. 27 of 2016 for the month of February.
According to a statement issued by the Judicial Media Office, a total of 42,284 individuals have been released from prisons and detention centers under the law.
The Council also reported that 170,297 individuals were included under the law’s provisions among those who had arrest or summons warrants issued against them, those released on bail, and those convicted in absentia.
Additionally, authorities recovered a total of 87,854,129,633 Iraqi dinars as part of the law’s implementation.
The updated figures reflect the continued enforcement of the amended amnesty provisions and their financial and legal impact.
