A major power outage hit the Kurdistan Region of Iraq on Wednesday after a technical fault disrupted the الكهرباء network.
According to the Kurdistan Regional Government Ministry of Electricity, the blackout was caused by a failure in key transmission lines, which led to a complete shutdown of power across the region.
Officials said technical teams are already working to find the exact cause and fix the issue. Power is expected to be restored within a few hours.
For now, the outage appears to be a technical problem, not linked to any external factors, but investigations are still ongoing.
