The Progress Party says the next session of parliament could be a turning point for Iraq’s political situation.

Party member Ali Najdiya explained that this session is very important because it could finally move things forward—especially when it comes to electing a President and ending the current political deadlock. That step would then open the door to appointing a new Prime Minister.

He made it clear that success will depend on one key thing: agreement between political groups. Without real understanding and compromise, the process could stall again. He also stressed that leaders need to put the country first instead of focusing on their own interests.

The party says it supports any effort that helps bring stability and form a government that can actually deliver results for people.

Najdiya also called on all political sides to take responsibility and work together to break the deadlock. According to him, Iraq is going through a very sensitive time, and moving toward stability and rebuilding the country can’t wait any longer.

In simple terms, the message is clear: this upcoming session is a big chance—but only if political leaders are willing to cooperate and act in the national interest.
