The Director of the International Development Bank’s Maysan Branch is the subject of an arrest warrant, which the Federal Integrity Commission stated today, Saturday. In light of allegations that the bank embezzled billions of dinars.
In a statement provided to “,” the Commission said that “the director of the International Development Bank’s Maysan branch in the capital city of Baghdad was arrested and the arrest warrant against him was executed in accordance with Article (315) of the Penal Code.” This was the consequence of cooperation and coordination between the Commission and the Intelligence Agency.
In addition, he said, “The Assistant Director of the International Development Bank – Maysan Branch and two employees, along with the Director of the International Development Bank, Maysan Branch, embezzled an amount of (6,771,010,000) six billion Iraqi dinars from the bank in collaboration with its female storyteller.” Three billion Iraqi dinars (3,385,000,000) were taken out of the secure storehouse there by two “treasurers” of the branch and given to unidentified individuals.
The authorities had declared on Thursday, the day before yesterday, that the two workers and the assistant director of the International Development Bank branch in the governorate might be arrested thanks to the action taken by its personnel in the Maysan Governorate. about allegations of embezzling over 3.5 billion dinars.
