The Sadiqoun bloc’s representative, Zainab Jumah al-Moussawi, confirmed on Sunday that Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani’s visit to New York has opened doors for foreign investments in Iraq.
In a statement received by the , Al-Moussawi stated that the visit of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani to attend the United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York will provide an opportunity for foreign companies to invest in Iraq.
“We have observed a significant number of heads of state visiting the Prime Minister’s residence, which is a clear indication of their interest in investing in Iraqi lands,” she stated.
Al-Moussawi has urged the removal of obstacles that impede the entry of foreign investors into Iraq. He believes that investments in various sectors can help improve the infrastructure and superstructure, reduce unemployment rates, and bring foreign currency into the country.
