An official document issued by the Central Bank of Iraq stated that eight Iraqi banks have been prohibited from participating in the window for buying and selling foreign currency.
The document, which was accessed by, forbade banks from trading in dollars and from taking part in the foreign exchange buying and selling window.
Al-Huda Bank, Assyria International Investment Bank, Al-Janoub Islamic Bank for Investment and Finance, Al-Arabiya Islamic Bank, Hammurabi Commercial Bank, Kurdistan International Islamic Bank, Iraqi Union Bank, and Iraqi Investment Bank are the eight banks.
