Exporting more than 5 million barrels of Iraqi oil to America in a month

The US Energy Information Administration announced that Iraq exported over 5 million barrels of oil to the US in December 2020.

According to a report released by the administration and viewed by an undisclosed source, Iraq exported 5.611 million barrels of crude oil to the United States in December. The average daily export was around 181 thousand barrels, higher than the previous month’s export of 5.130 million, with an average of 171 thousand barrels per day.

According to his statement, Iraq exported crude oil to the United States during the first week of January at an average rate of 85,000 barrels daily. In the second week, the average export rate was 22,000 barrels per day, while the third week saw an average of 380,000 barrels per day. The exports in the fourth week reached an average of 239,000 barrels per day.

According to the US Energy Information Administration, Iraq ranked fifth in its exports to America during the past month. Canada, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and Brazil held the top four spots. Among Arab nations, Iraq came second after Saudi Arabia, whose exports to America amounted to 7 million barrels. Canada was the first country that exports the most oil to America, followed by Mexico.
