ON TUESDAY, the US Energy Information Administration announced that Iraq exported over 6 million barrels of oil to the US in September.
According to an official report, Iraq’s crude oil exports to the United States in September 2021 totaled 6,450 million barrels, averaging 215,000 barrels per day, lower than in August. In August, the exports stood at 7,130 million barrels, averaging at 230,000 barrels daily.
According to her statement, Iraq sold crude oil to the US during the first week of September at an average of 100,000 barrels per day. In the second week, the average increased to 248,000 barrels per day, while in the third week, it was 233,000. Finally, in the fourth week, the average exports amounted to 280,000 barrels daily.
The US Energy Information Administration recently revealed that Iraq was the sixth largest oil exporter to the US in the past month, with Canada, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Colombia, and Brazil taking the top spots. Among Arab countries, Iraq ranked second after Saudi Arabia, with the latter exporting 12.87 million barrels of oil to the US. The report also highlighted that Canada remained the largest oil exporter to the US, followed by Mexico.
