On Friday, Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani met with Alexander Dyukov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kazpromneft Company, and other officials to discuss the development of Iraq’s oil industry.
The Ministry of Oil stated that Hayan Abdul-Ghani, the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, had a meeting with Alexander Dyukov, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kazpromneft Company, and other officials from the company in Russia, in the presence of the Russian Ambassador to Iraq, Elbrus Kotrachev. They discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation and ways to develop joint projects that would contribute to the growth of the oil and energy sector in Iraq, while serving common interests.
The statement mentioned that the Undersecretary for Distribution Affairs, Ali Maarij, the Ministry’s Advisor, Hamdan Awejel, the Director General of the Maysan Oil Company, Hussein Kazem Laibi, and representatives from the Gazprom Company, including Vadim Yakovaev (Deputy Director General), Rinat Bakhitov (Executive Director of Gazprom in Iraq), and the Director of Relations, were present during the meeting. The Minister of International Affairs, Vyagislav Nikonorov, and the International Relations Officer, Konstantin Abramov, also attended.
