Hamid Younis, the Deputy Minister of Oil for Refining in Iraq, has made the commitment of the ministry to becoming self-sufficient in all petroleum products to support the national economy.
The country has significantly reduced gasoline imports and has already stopped importing gas oil (kerosene) and white oil.
Younis talked about ongoing projects that are aimed at meeting all of the country’s needs for gasoline within the next few months, thanks to recent increases in refining capacity.
