The representative of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Sarwa Muhammad Rashid, stressed on Monday the necessity of amending the budget to guarantee the entitlements of Kurdistan Region employees and transfer them from actual spending to governing expenditures.
Rashid stated in an interview that amending the budget will significantly help solve the financial issues between the region and the center. He also mentioned that after the election of a new speaker of the House of Representatives, there is a tendency to amend the disputed articles or schedules in the budget.
Due to delayed salaries, employees in Kurdistan need better living conditions. An agreement is required in order to resolve the salary crisis.
Sharif Suleiman, the representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, has confirmed that the Kurdish delegation in Baghdad has been promised to receive monthly salaries for the employees of the Kurdistan region. He pointed out that resolving the crisis regarding the payment of salaries requires amending fundamental items in the budget.
