On Thursday, the Iraqi Red Crescent announced that a ship carrying 10 million liters of fuel had departed from the port of Basra to Gaza.

The Red Crescent has announced that the fuel delivered will be utilized to provide power to hospitals, water pumps, and other essential services in Gaza. This shipment is part of a sequence of humanitarian aid deliveries from Iraq to Gaza since the inception of the conflict between Hamas and Israel.
The Israeli military operations have led to a shortage of basic needs for the displaced Palestinian people, including food, water, medicine, and fuel, which is made worse by the cold winter weather.
