More than $801 million in sales from the Central Bank of Iraq in a week

The Central Bank of Iraq sold over $801 million in hard currency to USD last week.

According to the correspondent, the Central Bank sold $801,133,899 over the past week, with a daily rate of $160,226,899, which is higher than last week’s rate of $775,219,316 for the same period of time.

The highest sales of the week were on Thursday with total sales of $208,387,458, while the lowest sales were on Sunday with total sales of $195,502,595.

Our correspondent reported that foreign remittance sales for the past week totaled $854,800,397, representing an 83% increase compared to cash sales which amounted to $141,640,000.

Mrasna clarified that the sales were made through cash and transfers to foreign countries for financing international trade. The selling price for international settlements using electronic cards and documentary credits was 1,305 dinars per dollar, while the selling price for cash and transfers to foreign countries was 1,310 dinars per dollar.
