Next Wednesday: the launch of the Baghdad International Fair activities, with the participation of 20 countries and 800 companies

The 47th session of the Baghdad International Fair is scheduled to commence on Wednesday with the participation of 800 local, Arab, and foreign companies from 20 countries.

Talib Hassan Nimah, Director General of Follow-up and Planning at the Ministry of Commerce, mentioned in an interview with the official newspaper that the preparations for the “Iraq Communicates” exhibition, which will last for ten days, were made well in advance to ensure its success as one of the most significant economic events.

Nehme explained that the number of participants in the exhibition increased to 20 countries compared to 13 in the previous session. He noted that Saudi Arabia leads with 140 companies.

The exhibition saw participation from companies across various countries, such as Germany, Japan, Spain, Turkey, Iran, and India. Additionally, several Arab countries participated, including the UAE, Oman, Egypt, and Syria. Notably, the Czech Republic and Azerbaijan participated for the first time in the exhibition.

Nimah mentioned that the upcoming exhibition will showcase folkloric art and cultural events that represent the Mesopotamian civilization. This is expected to increase the interest of foreign investors and promote collaboration between the Iraqi and international private sectors. This will in turn strengthen the economy and support reconstruction and development efforts in the country.
