Parliamentarian criticizes law on equivalence of certificates: unfair and hinders the educational process

MP Thaer Makhif affirmed today, Tuesday, that the law based on identicalness of authentications won’t be decided on until a significant number of its passages are revised.

“The amendment to this project carries a large amount of injustice and oppression against a large segment of students, both employees and non-employees, as it contains unfair clauses that hinder these segments’ educational and professional path,” Makhif stated in a statement to

He added, “This regulation stems from a hazy vision thus far there is no parliamentary consent to pass it,” taking note of that “this regulation has confronted a ton of analysis inside the Place of Delegates.”

He explained that “education is a constitutional right that must be protected and strengthened, and any amendments that hinder this right must be rejected,” and that “the law has not received any acceptance and will take a long time, and will either be approved with major amendments or rejected directly.”

Due to numerous objections to its provisions, the House of Representatives decided during its session on Tuesday to postpone the vote on amending the law on the foundations of equivalence of certificates.
