Hadi Al-Salami, a member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, stated today (Tuesday) that Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani violated legal and constitutional protocols when he appointed Ali Al-Alaq as the Governor of the Central Bank. Al-Salami also pointed out that Al-Alaq was negligent in his duties and was unable to find solutions to the dollar crisis.

In a statement to [publication name], Al-Salami explained that Ali Al-Alaq, who was appointed by Prime Minister Muhammad Al-Sudani, was given a 6-month period to serve as the Governor of the Central Bank. However, even after the end of his term, he was neither issued a new order nor was he replaced by another person.

He stated that the Sudanese violated the law and constitution by requesting to be hosted in the House of Representatives without a set date.

According to him, the central bank governor failed to execute his assigned duties and was careless in his job. The problem of the soaring dollar prices had an adverse impact on the public, and he was incapable of resolving it.
