MP Hadi Al-Salami, a member of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, declared today, Thursday, that over 200,000 workers on the social assistance network had recovered over 100 billion dinars.
“More than 100 billion out of 220 billion were recovered as a result of 200,000 employees in government departments exceeding the social welfare network during the past years,” Al-Salami stated in a statement obtained by.
He stated that “work is continuing for the purpose of recovering billions,” adding that “there are follow-ups with the regulatory authorities to hold those who transgress public funds accountable.”
