The Federal Integrity Commission made the decision to sentence the former director of the Agricultural Bank – Maysan branch to severe imprisonment in absentia today, Sunday, for intentionally breaking banking instructions.
“The Maysan Criminal Court, which is specialized in examining integrity cases, issued two in-person rulings against the former director of the Agricultural Bank, each of which stipulates a severe imprisonment for a period of two years,” the Commission stated in a statement. in 2016 for distributing loans to individuals without their knowledge or consent, specifically for receiving a tractor and an agricultural harvester, in violation of banking instructions.”
“After reviewing the evidence and proofs obtained in the case, the court, reached full conviction of the defendant’s negligence, and decided to convict him and sentence him in his presence to severe imprisonment in accordance with the provisions of Article (340) of the Penal Code and in light of Articles (47, 48, and 49) of the Code of Participation,” he added.
He went on to say, “The ruling also included giving the Agricultural Cooperative Bank the right to file a lawsuit before the civil courts to demand compensation after the ruling becomes final, and to implement the two penalties against the convicted person in order to implement them consecutively.”
