Dhi Qar Oil Company announced today that it has completed 90% of the project to drill 20 wells in the Nasiriyah oil field. This will increase the production capacity in the governorate.
Ali Khudair, the Director General of Dhi Qar Oil Company, stated that the company has successfully completed a project to drill 20 wells in the Nasiriyah field. The project was executed according to the established plan and within the specified timetable, with the participation of the company’s technical and engineering staff in the field.
He said, “The company has finished drilling 17 wells out of 20. The drilling of two other wells is currently underway at an accelerated pace. The last well will be drilled at a later time. Some of the wells have already entered the production stage, and the remaining ones will enter soon.”
He explained, “This project aims to increase the production of the Nasiriyah field, which is one of the most important oil fields in Dhi Qar Governorate, improve the company’s production performance, and support the national economy.”
He commended the company’s employees and contractors for their efforts and cooperation in completing the crucial project.
Dhi Qar Oil Company aims to modernize its facilities and equipment, and implement strategic projects using the latest technologies and standards in drilling, production, and maintenance to achieve its goals.
Khudair emphasized that the company will persist in executing its plans and programs for the current year. Additionally, they will work towards the development and expansion of the oil production base in Dhi Qar Governorate.
