Three US Army personnel were killed and injured on Friday as a result of the attack on the Ain al-Asad Air Base, which is located west of Anbar, according to a security source in the Anbar Governorate.
According to a source, three Americans were reportedly killed in an attack on the Ain al-Asad air base located in the Al-Baghdadi district of Hit, west of Anbar. The attack was carried out using drones and missiles, as per the leaked information. The injured individuals were transported to an unknown location by American aircraft.
According to him, the Ain al-Assad base attack resulted in material damage to buildings belonging to the American army inside the base. However, the extent of the losses could not be determined due to the strict measures taken by the American forces.
He emphasized that American forces had established a security cordon around the building, preventing access to the entrance by security forces.
The American forces vowed to continue operations and stressed that they would not stand by and watch as the Palestinian people in Gaza are being genocided against, while the Iraqi Islamic Resistance claimed responsibility for targeting the American bases in Ain al-Assad and Harir in Iraqi Kurdistan on Wednesday, October 18, 2023.
