The US dollar continued to rise against the Iraqi dinar on Sunday morning in both Baghdad and Erbil markets, recording a new increase compared to Saturday’s rates.

In Baghdad, the dollar was traded at 157,950 dinars per 100 US dollars in the Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya exchanges. This represents an increase from Saturday’s rate of 157,250 dinars per 100 dollars.

In local exchange shops across Baghdad, the selling price reached 158,500 dinars per 100 dollars, while the buying price stood at 157,500 dinars.

In Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, the selling price of the dollar was recorded at 157,800 dinars per 100 dollars, while the buying price reached 157,750 dinars.

The latest increase continues the recent upward trend in the parallel market exchange rate, reflecting ongoing demand for the US dollar in local markets. Market observers continue to monitor exchange rate movements closely due to their impact on prices, trade activity and purchasing power across the country.
