Iraq’s Ministry of Trade has held discussions with the Iraq-Korea Business Council as both sides look to strengthen economic and trade ties and support the growth of the private sector.
Dr. Malik Khalaf Al-Durai’i, Director-General of the Private Sector Development Directorate, visited the council’s headquarters and met with its leadership and members.
During the meeting, Al-Durai’i stressed the importance of building stronger partnerships between Iraqi and Korean companies. He said cooperation in technology transfer and the sharing of international expertise can help improve the quality and competitiveness of Iraqi products.
He also highlighted the role of business councils in creating a better environment for investment and business growth. According to Al-Durai’i, active cooperation between these councils can help entrepreneurs and investors from both countries exchange ideas, build new partnerships and overcome challenges that may stand in the way of joint projects.
The discussions focused on expanding economic cooperation and creating more opportunities for Iraqi and Korean businesses to work together in the future.
