The US dollar started trading higher in Iraq on Wednesday, staying near the 157,000-dinar level per 100 dollars.
According to a survey of local markets, the dollar was trading at 157,250 dinars per 100 dollars in Baghdad’s Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya exchanges, up from 157,000 dinars in the previous session.
In Baghdad’s exchange shops, the dollar was being sold for 157,750 dinars per 100 dollars and bought for 156,750 dinars.
In Erbil, the selling price reached 157,450 dinars per 100 dollars, while the buying price stood at 157,400 dinars.
The latest figures show a slight increase in the dollar’s value against the Iraqi dinar compared with the previous trading session.
