A government source revealed on Thursday that a ministerial order has been issued to end the suspension of the Director of the Diyala Electricity Distribution Branch, Engineer Aws Muhammad Mashkhal, and return him to his position.
According to the source, the decision came after the completion of the review conducted by the relevant committee and the submission of its findings to the Ministry.
The source stated that a ministerial order was issued to reinstate Mashkhal after all required procedures were completed and the case review was finalized.
The suspension had been imposed about two weeks ago as part of an investigation. Following a detailed review, the responsible committee completed its work and submitted its recommendations to the Ministry, which led to the decision to lift the suspension.
The source added that the reinstatement decision has been circulated to the relevant authorities and that Mashkhal resumed his duties as Director of the Diyala Electricity Distribution Branch effective Thursday.
The move officially closes the suspension period and returns the branch’s management to its previous leadership following the completion of the ministry’s review process.
