Basra Heavy crude oil prices rose to $72.16 per barrel in the final trading session of the week, while Basra Medium crude increased to $75.16 per barrel.
Basra Heavy gained $3.95, or 5.79%, compared with the previous session. Basra Medium rose by $3.65, marking a 5.10% increase.
Despite the gains at the end of the week, both grades recorded weekly losses. Basra Heavy fell $2.41, or 3.23%, from its opening price of $74.57 per barrel. Basra Medium dropped $2.89, or 3.70%, from its opening level of $78.05.
In international markets, Brent crude climbed to $104.44 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) rose to $91.69. Both benchmarks posted modest gains in the final trading session.
