The administration will submit changes to the 2024 budget plans to Parliament within a maximum of 10 days, the Parliamentary Finance Committee declared on Wednesday.
MP Moeen Al-Kazemi, a committee member, stated, “The government is currently putting the finishing touches to the amendments it made through an increase in the food quota allocations.” The Finance Committee will study the amendments as soon as they arrive and then submit them to the House of Representatives for approval. Additionally, the price of producing oil and the rise in funding for social assistance.
Notably, the Finance Committee had earlier addressed with Finance Minister Taif Sami the challenges the ministry was encountering in creating the current year’s budget schedules and the plan designed to close the deficit.
