The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Ahmed Al-Asadi, confirmed that the number of students eligible for the student grant has increased to two million and 400 thousand, and that a new batch of applicants for the full-time assistant program will soon begin.
“The ministry launched the special batch related to the disabled, people with special needs, children with diabetes, and orphans, with 61 thousand and 700 beneficiaries,” Al-Asadi stated in a statement to the official agency.
“The ministry will launch meals for the full-time assistant in the coming days,” he continued, “as for the social care meals, we are waiting for new financial allocations.”
Concerning understudy award, the Pastor of Work affirmed that “the service is going on with the understudy award and is presently suspended and will return toward the start of the school year,” making sense of that “the award was remembered for the financial plan for every year and is outside the financial plan of the Service of Work.”
“The numbers were initially one million and one thousand students, but after distributing the grant, the number reached two million and four hundred thousand students,” he stated.
