Popular Mobilization Forces thwart smuggling of electrical transformers shipment in Al Karma district east of Anbar

The popular Mobilization Authority introduced these days, Friday, the thwarting of an attempt to smuggle a cargo of electrical transformers in Al-Karma district, east of Anbar Governorate.

A statement via the authority said that “a force from the twenty seventh special duties Brigade thwarted an attempt to smuggle a cargo of electrical transformers in Al-Karma district, east of Anbar.”

The assertion introduced, “A force from the intelligence of the 27th Brigade, the second Regiment, unique Missions of the famous Mobilization Forces, via a good ambush, become able to thwart an attempt to smuggle a cargo of electrical transformers amounting to (110 transformers) smuggled from Al-Karma District to the capital, Baghdad.”

He mentioned that “the smuggling operation turned into carried out using 7 trucks on the Harariyyat checkpoint in Al-Karma district, east of Anbar Governorate.”

The statement continued, “The force took legal and fundamental measures in opposition to 7 individuals from the smuggling community, seized the vehicles, and passed them over to the relevant government.”
