The Iraqi cupboard has blocked a suggestion to offer a sovereign guarantee for a rail venture.

A statement issued on Thursday night through the Media workplace of the top Minister stated:

“primarily based on the investigation results issued via the investigative team of the commission of Integrity concerning the partnership agreement concluded between the nation employer for Railways and the consortium of corporations (Al Nahla, Daewoo Korea, and Al-Maha), the Council of Ministers voted not to approve the issuance of a sovereign guarantee for the aforementioned settlement challenge.”

The statement gave no similarly details of the challenge, or the reason for the selection.
