Region Trade Bank Opens New Branch in Basra
Region Trade Bank has opened a new Commercial Region Bank branch in Basra, continuing its plan to grow its network and make banking easier for people in southern Iraq.
Local officials and business leaders attended the opening ceremony, which focused on bringing the bank closer to Basra’s fast-growing population and business community.
RT Bank said the new branch will offer modern banking services, improved digital tools, and simple, helpful customer support for both individuals and companies.
The bank also noted that expanding into Basra reflects its strong confidence in the province’s economic future and its important role in Iraq’s development.
Region Trade Bank, based in Erbil, already operates branches in Baghdad, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok, Kirkuk, Zakho, and Basra.
The new location is part of the bank’s broader plan to grow responsibly, build customer trust, and support the financial sector across the country.
