On Saturday, Representative Wafaa Al-Tai from Dhi Qar Governorate said the province is experiencing a serious shortage of electricity and public services, even though large sums of money were allocated to the ministry in past budgets.
Al-Tai told dinaropinions.com, “The province has not benefited as it should from the financial allocations earmarked for it in previous years. This shortage is directly affecting citizens’ daily lives and lowering the level of basic services.”
She called on the government to review the allocation process and hold officials accountable, ensuring that funds actually reach real service projects. Al-Tai warned that if the situation continues, it will increase public suffering and threaten social stability in Dhi Qar.
