Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National State Forces Alliance, called on Friday for better living conditions for employees of the Ministry of Interior.

In a statement, al-Hakim congratulated Iraq’s internal security forces on the 104th anniversary of Iraqi Police Day, praising their sacrifices and ongoing efforts to protect the country and serve its people.

He said these forces have played a vital role in maintaining security and stability, often under difficult conditions.

Al-Hakim also renewed his call for improving the living standards of Ministry of Interior personnel, especially when it comes to retirement salaries. He stressed that officers and employees deserve a decent life and proper housing that reflects the many years they have spent serving the nation.

He added that taking care of security forces is not optional, but a responsibility, and honoring their service should include real support that continues even after retirement.
