The Oil Products Distribution Company denied on Sunday reports circulating online that cooking gas is being transferred to the Kurdistan Region.
In a statement received by dinaropinions.com, the company said claims on social media about gas tankers waiting near liquefied gas loading platforms to transport supplies to the Kurdistan Region are completely false.
The company explained that the country has enough cooking gas in stock and that distribution is continuing normally. It added that the market is currently seeing a temporary rise in demand because some citizens are buying gas out of concern.
Officials stressed that gas supplies remain fully available and that distribution operations are running smoothly according to the approved plan.
