The Dubai edition of Token2049 has been postponed until April 21–22, 2027 due to safety concerns from rising regional tensions linked to the Iran-Israel-US conflict. The move comes shortly after another major crypto event, TON Gateway, was canceled for similar reasons.

Organizers said the decision was made with safety, travel, and logistics in mind. They noted that while the Dubai event will return in 2027, ticket holders can also transfer passes to the Singapore edition later this year. Refund policies for those who cannot attend the rescheduled event haven’t been announced yet.

Ticket prices for the Dubai conference had ranged from $699 for early bird access to $1,499 for standard passes, with VIP packages at $5,999 offering perks like exclusive lounges and priority access. Organizers advised attendees who had already booked flights or hotels to contact providers directly to adjust plans.

Before the postponement, the Dubai conference had planned to feature major crypto figures, including Shayne Coplan, Paolo Ardoino, and Jeremy Allaire.

The statement emphasized that the safety and quality of the event remain the top priority, and organizers hope to ensure the global crypto community can gather securely at the rescheduled date. Meanwhile, the TON Gateway event confirmed that ticket refunds will be processed within roughly two weeks, with plans for an alternative format to be announced later.
