The exchange rate of the U.S. dollar against the Iraqi dinar remained stable on Saturday morning in both Baghdad and Erbil, with no significant changes recorded in local currency markets.
According to market reports, the dollar continued trading at 153,850 Iraqi dinars per $100 in Baghdad’s main Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya exchanges. This is the same rate at which trading closed at the end of last week.
Currency exchange shops across Baghdad also reported stable rates. The selling price stood at 154,250 dinars per $100, while the buying price was 153,250 dinars per $100.
In Erbil, the capital of the Kurdistan Region, the market showed similar stability. Exchange shops were selling $100 for 153,750 dinars, while the buying price reached 153,700 dinars per $100.
The steady rates indicate a calm currency market at the start of the weekend, with the dollar maintaining its recent trading levels against the Iraqi dinar in both Baghdad and Erbil.
