Baqer Darwish, head of the Bahrain Forum for Human Rights, strongly criticized former US President Donald Trump on Wednesday, using very sharp language to express his views.
Darwish said Trump is acting like he has the power to control life and death, but is ignoring history. He pointed out that Iran has an ancient civilization that goes back thousands of years—long before the United States even existed.
He questioned whether war and force can ever build a real civilization. He also pushed back against the idea that strong nations can erase others through pressure or conflict.
Darwish highlighted Iran’s long history, mentioning famous figures like Ibn Sina, Ferdowsi, and Omar Khayyam as examples of its deep cultural and intellectual roots.
He stressed that civilizations are not wiped out by decisions, military actions, or political pressure. According to him, powerful empires may rise, but they eventually fall, while nations with strong people and history endure.
He ended his remarks with a sharp message to Trump, questioning the fate of past rulers and suggesting that power does not last forever.
