Global oil prices fell in recent trading, moving down from their highest levels in six months. The decline came despite ongoing concerns about oil supplies following recent attacks on key facilities in Saudi Arabia.
US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures dropped $2.14, or 2.07%, to $101.13 per barrel. Brent crude futures also fell $2.12, or 1.82%, to $114.60 per barrel.
Oil prices had risen sharply last week as concerns grew over the security of global supplies. Brent crude gained 6% over the week, while WTI increased by 2.3%.
